New Vehicle Sales in Valley Improve in November

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of new cars and trucks to residents of Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties increased during November compared with a year ago, according to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association’s monthly report.

Dealers across the region report they sold a total of 1,906 new vehicles to local customers last month, compared with 1,788 sold in November 2022, an improvement of 6.5%.

Boardman Subaru reported the largest volume of new vehicle sales to Mahoning Valley residents with 145. Greenwood Chevrolet, Austintown, reported the second highest sales with 110; #1 Cochran Chevrolet, Boardman, reported the third highest volume with 100; #1 Cochran Buick/GMC in Boardman recorded the fourth best new vehicle sales with 93; and Toyota of Boardman reported the fifth highest sales with 89 units.

Sales of used cars and trucks, however, decreased in November compared with last year. 

Dealers sold 1,784 used vehicles last month, a 7.5% drop from the same time the previous year when area dealers sold 1,930 used cars and trucks to local buyers.

Combined sales of new and used vehicles remained relatively flat for the month at 3,795 units, the report shows.
