New Center to Support Students Physically and Academically

WARREN, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine joined community and school officials in unveiling the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center at Warren G. Harding High School.

The facility features a 60-yard turf field, exercise equipment, walking tracks, golf simulators and a room dedicated to esports. The center will also house the newly expanded School-Based Health Clinic, operated by Akron Children’s Pediatrics.

“I think schools will come from all over Ohio just to look at this facility,” DeWine said. “This is a great facility. It’s going to give kids more opportunity to be healthy. It’s going to give them more of an opportunity to dream their dreams about what they can become.”
