Nonprofits Work Together to Tackle Job Development
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A hiring event featuring about 40 employers was held at Stambaugh Auditorium on Tuesday.
The event was a team effort of about 40 different nonprofit organizations coming together to form a coalition referred to as Youngstown Works.
“We are hoping to continue another year with the city of Youngstown, and then eventually bringing in Trumbull county [and] Columbiana county into more of a Mahoning Valley Works concept,” says Gerri Jenkins, executive director of MyPath Mahoning Valley.
