North Lima Manufacturing Building Sold for $900K

NORTH LIMA, Ohio – A building that was sold to Bird Equipment of Ohio for $830,000 in 2019 has been resold to a local entity affiliated with Brilex Industries Inc., Youngstown, for $900,000.

Range Real Estate LLC, which lists a local post office box and 44501 ZIP code, purchased the building Jan 31, according to records with the Mahoning County Auditor’s office.

According to incorporation documents filed with the Ohio secretary of state, Range Real Estate lists Jeff Suchora as the company’s statutory agent and Thomas Benyo as an authorized representative of the company. Both are executives of Brilex Industries Inc., Youngstown, and the company is currently operating from the facility.

“We’re already in operation there,” says Benyo, Brilex Industries’ vice president of sales. “We’re doing some oil and gas application work and we’re hiring for that location as well.”

Bird Equipment purchased the approximately 40,000-square-foot plant in March 2019, four years after its parent company, Marsh Bellofram Group, acquired the assets of Specialty Fab Inc.

Specialty Fab, established in 1994, was a metals fabrication business before it was sold in 2015. Bird Equipment supplies production equipment and machinery to the oil and gas industry.

Marsh Bellofram acquired Specialty Fab in 2015 because of the region’s proximity to the Utica and Marcellus shale plays in eastern Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Business Journal files.
