Ny’omi Eatery in Eastwood Mall Serves Up Fair Treats Year-round

NILES, Ohio – If you’re craving lemon shakes or cotton candy, Sharnette and John Randall, owners of Ny’omi Eatery in Eastwood Mall, can make those fair treats a reality, even in the dead of winter.

“Why not enjoy it all year-round here at the Eastwood Mall,” Sharnette Randall said.

Ny’omi Eatery is named for their granddaughter, who was only 1 year old when she died, but Sharnette Randall said Ny’omi already loved fair food treats. While adults love them, too, Randall said she knows the items she is offering will be a big hit with children.

Snow cones, caramel apples and popcorn, as well as turkey sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions and turkey hotdogs currently round out the menu, which may expand in the future.

Sharnette and John both said their favorite fair food offering is lemon shakes, which became a must for the store. For those with dietary restrictions, lemon shakes can be made with Splenda.

Sharnette said she is open to suggestions and plans to expand the menu based on what people say they love.

Randall said that during the past two weeks, people have been noticing the business, which is located near Center Court, down the JCPenney wing. On Monday, it was hard to miss as the family celebrated the store’s grand opening with friends from Eastwood Mall and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in front of the store.

Sharnette said she hopes the business will continue to honor Ny’omi’s name.

“She can’t carry on her own name, so I decided to carry it for her,” Sharnette said.

Ny’omi’s Eatery is just one of the new attractions at Eastwood Mall this holiday season. The mall has added a pop-up indoor skating rink, and it will soon officially welcome the newest Youngstown Clothing Co. location.
