Oak Hill Collaborative Offers Internet Safety Seminar

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mahoning County residents will have an opportunity to gain a better understanding of internet safety this week.

The Oak Hill Collaborative is offering a free Internet Safety Seminar at 6 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Fire Station #21, 3989 E. Middletown Road, New Springfield.

The seminar will provide attendees with instructions and tips to protect themselves and family members from potential online threats such as viruses, malware, ransomware, hackers and online predators. After the seminar, the Oak Hill Collaborative’s digital navigator will be available to answer questions.

“It will be a great opportunity for residents to learn about important security issues while on the internet,” said Pat Kerrigan, executive director of the Oak Hill Collaborative.
