Oh Wow Launches Campaign, Releases Inaugural Impact Report
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology announced the launch of its bi-annual campaign and the release of its inaugural Impact Report.
The #MoreThanAPlace campaign aims to showcase the center’s contributions to the regional STEM education ecosystem. Oh Wow has been a leading advocate for STEM education in the Mahoning Valley for more than a decade.
The release of the 2022 Impact Report allows the community to gain insight into the organization’s programs and services.
“We are titling this year’s campaign #MoreThanAPlace to reflect the heart and soul of where we’ve been, who we are and what we aspire to be,” said Marvin Logan, executive director of Oh Wow. “Oh Wow is dedicated to delivering more than just a physical space for youth to explore science and technology. We strive to create a lasting impact on the lives of young minds, shaping their future success.”
The 2022 Impact Report shows more than 26,000 total youths and more than 140 school and community groups were served from within nine counties. According to the report, 75% of learners attained positive learning outcomes and 80% of learners expressed an increased interest in STEM.
The report also shows the 30,000-square-foot facility receives more than 50,000 visitors annually, added 10 strategic partners, made 1.2 million multimedia impressions and raised $1.4 million.
