Oh Wow! to Hold ‘Science of Brewing 2.0’ July 24
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology will hold “Science of Brewing 2.0” on July 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the center, 11 W. Federal St..
Select tastings at the adult-only event will be provided by Southern Tier Brewing Company, Main Street Grille & Brewing Company, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Diletto Winery, Y-town Vodka and Cleveland Whiskey.
Avalon Downtown will offer food pairings for each “tasting zone,” with desserts offered by Giannios Candy Company Inc., One Hot Cookie, and the Mahoning County Historical Center.
Adult Make! workshops and interactive demonstrations will be provided by Oh Wow!, PumpHouse Homebrew Shop, Southern Tier and Lucy Goose Wine. A silent auction and basket raffle will showcase local area merchants and products.
The event will feature live entertainment by The Youngstown Jazz Collective.
Tickets are $50, and can be purchased online, by phone at 330 744 5914, or in person. All proceeds will support educational programming at Oh Wow!, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Sponsorship packages are available for $250, which include two tickets to the event, a sheet of raffle tickets and recognition in the event program, Oh Wow!’s website, print and social media.
