Ohio Business Filings Up 15.7% in July
COLUMBUS, Ohio – New-business filings in Ohio were up 15.7% in July as 11,172 entities submitted paperwork to do business in the state, according to the Secretary of State’s office.
So far this year, 80,551 organizations have filed paperwork with the state, up 5.9% from last year’s pace.
“Ohio is consistently being recognized for our innovative and diversified business climate,” said Secretary of State Frank LaRose in a statement. “We’re leveraging that advantage to bring businesses to Ohio at an unrivaled pace.”
LaRose was recently named co-chairman of the National Association of Secretaries of State’s business services committee, which shares best practices on corporate registrations, electronic business filings, notarizations, Uniform Commercial Code filings and business identity theft.
