Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Names Evans Communications and Marketing Director

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tom Evans has joined The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association as the organization’s director of communications and marketing. In this role, Evans will be a key contact for members of the news media, while helping oversee information services for OMA members.

Evans, an Ohio native who grew up in Dallas, Texas, Evans previously worked for the Ohio Senate majority caucus as the digital media manager and deputy press secretary.

Evans received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Abilene Christian University. After his undergraduate years, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent several years stationed in Japan. He most recently received his master of public administration from Ohio University.

“The addition of Tom Evans will help the OMA expand its information services,” says Ryan Augsburger, OMA president. “Across the Buckeye State, manufacturers will benefit from the OMA’s growing strength in communications as our association continues to advance its mission to protect and grow Ohio manufacturing.”
