Olivier Named New Head of Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley
AKRON, Ohio – Paul N. Olivier has been named the new vice president of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
Olivier succeeds Sharon Hrina, who retired in October. He has more than 25 years of experience in health-care management, including most recently as chief network integration officer for the Great Lakes Group of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
“The Valley is extremely fortunate to have Akron Children’s Hospital here, dedicated to the care of children and young adults,” Olivier said in a statement. “I’m delighted and proud to join Akron Children’s in their mission to improve the health of our young people and also the community.”
With Mercy Health-Youngstown, Olivier was vice president of physician enterprises and business development, chief network integration officer, chief quality officer and, since 2008, head of the system’s government relations efforts. He has also worked at UPMC and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
“Paul’s extensive health care expertise and commitment to the region stood out to us,” said Lisa Aurilio, chief operating officer of Akron Children’s Hospital. “His varied experience leading health care organizations in quality, business development and government relations will be an asset as we continue to grow and provide care to more children in the Youngstown area.”
A resident of Boardman, he is also a commissioner of Mill Creek MetroParks and a graduate of Leadership Mahoning Valley.
