One Health Ohio Awarded $67K for Virus Testing, Services

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – One Health Ohio has been awarded a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration to provide COVID-19 screenings, medical supplies and telehealth services. 

“One Health has vigorously been battling the COVID-19 pandemic with our 175 medical front-line personnel,” said CEO Dr. Ronald Dwinnells in a statement. “This funding will help us improve our telehealth program to allow better access to our doctors, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, nurses, dietitians and behavioral health counselors during this extremely difficult period.”

The $67,000 grant is among the $100 million distributed by the Health Resources and Services Administration to 1,381 health-care centers across the country. 

The funds have been awarded to Federally Qualified Health Centers, which receive funds from the administration to provide care to underserved communities. 

One Health Ohio offers medical, dental and behavioral health services at sites in Youngstown, Warren, Newton Falls, Cortland and Alliance.
