One Health Ohio Offering Free COVID-19 Testing to Warren

WARREN, Ohio — On June 26, residents can participate in free COVID-19 testing at the Lloyd McCoy Community Health Center.

The drive-thru testing runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center located at 1977 Niles Road SE. All participants must have their photo identification and insurance card available upon arrival. The testing is being conducted by One Health Ohio.

“COVID-19 testing allows health services to quickly identify who has the disease and arrange for prompt care,” says Dr. Maria Kowal, chief medical officer at One Health Ohio. “Isolating known cases of coronavirus prevents positive individuals from coming into contact with others and slows the rate of transmission. Effective testing helps us understand how prevalent the disease is in our community and how it is evolving.”

Anyone interested in a test should contact Deb Stanovcak at 330 884 6122. Walk-ins are welcome, but preregistration is encouraged as space and testing are limited, according to a release.
