Ohio Adds More Options for Business Filings Online
COLUMBUS, Ohio – With the addition of new forms to the Ohio Business Central website, filing the documents required to start a business in the state can now be done almost entirely online.
Last month, the Secretary of State’s website added the Foreign For-Profit Corporation Application 530(A), Foreign Nonprofit Corporation Application 530(B), Registration of Foreign Corporate Name 530(C), Registration of Foreign Limited Liability Corporation 533(B) and Statement of Qualification- Foreign Limited Liability Partnership 537 forms.
“With these forms, not only is it easy for businesses to start in Ohio, but it also makes it easier for businesses that do not have a headquarters in Ohio to expand in our state,” said Secretary of State Jon Husted in a release. “The process which once took days or weeks to finish, now only takes hours.”
Since the forms were made available last month, 217 businesses have filed the forms online, he said, adding that 90% of the business filings with his office can now be done via the internet.
In addition, the office now accepts credit card payments through its website for business filings, minister licenses, notary commissions and apostilles.
All digital forms can be found at OhioBusinessCentral.com or via the Business tab at the Secretary of State website.
