Panelmatic Opening Building Solutions Division in Brookfield
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Panelmatic Inc. is centralizing construction of its custom-built control houses with a new division in Brookfield.
Panelmatic Building Solutions will be headquartered in a 73,000-square-foot manufacturing plant at 6882 Parkway Drive previously occupied by Legacy Measurements. The expansion will allow the 62-year-old company to hire some 30 full-time personnel there to build the control houses.
Space limitations at the company’s Boardman location at 1125 Meadowbrook Ave. hindered growth into the market’s full potential, leading the company to locate the control house operation in Brookfield, according to a release.
“This new space will allow us to expand further into a growing market for Panelmatic, and to continue to meet our clients’ needs for larger control houses, as well as allow us to manufacture a greater number of units at one time,” said Daniel Vodhanel, Panelmatic Building Solutions general manager. “We are excited to be moving forward with this investment.”
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Brookfield Township welcomes Panelmatic with open arms, and we look forward to having them in our community and working with them in the future,” said Ron Haun, Brookfield Township trustee.
Panelmatic serves the industrial utilities market. Control houses can include restrooms, showers, locker rooms, offices, a kitchen and can be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to the company’s website.
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber worked with Panelmatic on the expansion and assisted with site selection, coordinating confidential property tours and securing assistance from JobsOhio for the purchase of machinery and equipment, said its manager of business development, Lauren Johnson.
“On behalf of JobsOhio and Team NEO, we are very pleased that Panelmatic has decided to expand,” said Walter Good, Team NEO senior director, JobsOhio regional network partner. “Tracing its roots back to 1957, the company has a proven track record in the Valley and successfully adapted to ever-changing market forces. We are thrilled to have collaborated with the company and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber to help provide meaningful assistance so they could grow here to deliver equipment worldwide.”
