Peace Valley Orchards Sold for $1.24M
ROGERS, Ohio – Peace Valley Orchards has been sold for $1.24 million.
The family orchard at 5667 Adams Road, owned and operated by the Simmons family for the past 75 years, was purchased in March by Donald K. Hollingshead. The property will continue to operate as an orchard, said Hollingshead, who also owns Fairfield Concrete LLC in Columbiana.
The 121.25 acres that were purchased include much of the orchard, the warehouse storage, tool sheds and loading docks.
Peace Valley has been known for producing a variety of apples, including five that were patented over the years. Brothers Dan and Paul Simmons had auctioned the property in late March through Kiko Auctions as they approached their retirements. Their sister and brother-in-law will maintain a bakery business that wasn’t part of the sale.
The sale was finalized Monday, according to the Columbiana County Auditor’s Office.
