Penn State Shenango Professor Presents at PT Conference
SHARON, Pa. — Jennifer Jewell, an instructor in Penn State Shenango’s physical therapist assistant program, recently presented at the 17th Annual Physical Therapy Education Leadership Conference in Milwaukee.
The conference was a collaborative effort between the APTA Academy of Education and the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy. It is designed to educate and facilitate discussion among physical therapy educators.
Jewell, along with other colleagues, presented two sessions as part of the conference. The topics were PTA Education Summit Report: Implications for PT/PTA Education and Practice & Fostering Excellence Through the Use of Simulation in PTA Education.
“It was such an honor to collaborate and present innovative educational approaches to my colleagues in physical therapy education.” Jewell says. “I always return from this conference refreshed and invigorated to apply new strategies in my classroom to be a more effective teacher.”
