Penn State Shenango to Host Lecture on Tax Policy, Cryptocurrency

SHARON, Pa. – Accounting lecturer Sabrin Stewart will discuss corporate tax policy and cryptocurrency at Penn State Shenango at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

During the discussion, part of the Faculty Lecture Series, Stewart will break down what business owners need to know about taxes. She will also discuss how businesses should prepare for cryptocurrency tax implications.

“Various stakeholders are increasingly shifting their attention to cryptocurrencies in corporate settings, creating the need for comprehensive tax law,” Stewart said. “As cryptocurrencies continue to evolve and organizations embrace them as forms of payment, there are calls that digital currencies are accounted for under a standard financial reporting framework.”

The lecture is free and open to the public, but registration is required HERE. For more information, call Tasha Lambert at 724 983 2825.
