Phantom Fireworks Gives $100K to YSU Scholarship Fund

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – At the annual Phantom Fireworks’ Showroom Managers Meetings, Bruce Zoldan, president and CEO of Youngstown’s Phantom Fireworks, announced a $100,000 donation to the Sam & Sylvia Zoldan Scholarship Fund from the Bruce & Rori Family Foundation.

The Sam & Sylvia Scholarship Fund was established at Youngstown State University several years ago by the Zoldan family in memory of their parents, and it is managed by the YSU Foundation. Sam and Sylvia Zoldan died May 27 and June 20, 2006, respectively.

“It was particularly gratifying to be able to share our support of YSU with our managers,” Zoldan said. “It continues a tradition of community support by all of the showrooms and the showroom management teams in their areas.”

The Phantom Fireworks Managers Meetings were hosted at the Avalon Inn in Warren Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Some 250 Phantom Fireworks’ team members traveled to the Mahoning Valley from different parts of the country
to participate in the meetings, in addition to a good number of people from the Phantom corporate offices in Youngstown.

“We are proud to showcase our home town area to our managers from our showrooms nationwide. They always enjoy their time in the Valley, the fellowship with other managers and the wonderful hospitality of the community,” Zoldan said.
