Phantoms Choose Max Athletic as Training Site
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Phantoms have announced Max Athletic Training in Boardman as the team’s training center.
Max Athletic hosted the team’s training camp workouts in September and will continue to host the Phantoms’ training sessions through the regular season and playoffs. The team works out at the center twice a week.
“We have been very fortunate and grateful to be able to work with owner Ted Rendinell and his fine facility,” said Phantoms’ general manager Jason Koehler in a release. “Our players have been enjoying the benefits of the professional set up and staff there for the last few seasons and we’re excited to continue this relationship and let the Youngstown athletic community know.”
This season marks the sixth consecutive one that Max Athletic has served as the team’s training center.
The Phantoms have 22 players committed to NCAA Division I hockey programs, including Notre Dame, Yale, Harvard, Bowling Green, Michigan and Michigan State. Goalie Wouter Peeters was selected in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and forward Curtis Hall, a Chagrin Falls native, is projected to be selected in the 2018 NHL Draft.
