Pittsburgh Company Buys Home Depot Site, Lease for $3.8M
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The property at 6100 Mahoning Ave. and associated lease was purchased for $3,842,000 by Daniel G Kamin Youngstown LLC, an affiliate of Kamin Realty Co., Pittsburgh.
The 9.96-acre parcel houses a Home Depot store, which was built in 2005.
Kamin Realty closed on the sale on April 7, according to documents from the Mahoning County Auditor. It purchased the property from Jain Family Holdings North LLC, which purchased the property in January 2007 for $3,150,000.
Founded in 1916, Kamin Realty got its start as a residential developer before investing in apartment complexes throughout Pittsburgh, according to its website.
Since 1969, Daniel Kamin, third-generation owner and president of the family-owned company, has expanded the company into commercial real estate investment. Today, the company is the 38th largest shopping center and net lease retail property owner in the United States, with more than 400 properties in 44 states and Puerto Rico, and a gross leasable area of more than 15 million square feet, according to its website.
