PLYMC Seeks Vendor to Run Cafe in Poland Library

POLAND, Ohio – The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County is accepting proposals to lease and operate the cafe in the Poland Library.

The 1,000-square-foot space includes a full kitchen – a list of equipment is available HERE – and a seating area. The space will be available as early as Aug. 26 with a one-year lease with the option for renewal at a rental rate to be negotiated.

Prospective tenants must be able to provide full meal catering in addition to running the cafe. 

Those applying should provide a business plan with a sample menu, hours of operation and a name for the cafe; a resume detailing industry experience; a financial plan showing sufficient funding to cover startup costs; proof or the ability to obtain liability insurance of at least $1 million; and a copy of a catering/food service license.

The Selection Committee will offer a lease based on its determination of quality, viability and sustainability. Applicants may be asked to interview with the committee and/or prepare sample menu items as part of the selection process.
