Poland Senior Living Community Sells for $2.72M

POLAND, Ohio – A Tennessee-based company has purchased the former Sunrise of Poland senior living center here for $2.72 million.

Wickshire Senior Living, based in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood, closed on the purchase Oct. 21.

The community, at 335 W. McKinley Way just off the U.S. Route 224 interchange, offers assisted living and memory care units. Signage at the property has already been updated to carry the Wickshare branding.

This week, older adults living near the building, now named Wickshire Poland, received a postcard from the company announcing it was “excited to be joining the Poland community” and advertised “substantial savings,” with those moving in by Nov. 15 saving up to $5,000.

Wickshire Senior Living owns two other senior living centers in Ohio: one in Fairborn and one in Cincinnati. In total, it operates 12 sites across Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Built in 1998, the building is 19,132 square feet and is valued at $3,045,060 by the Mahoning County Auditor’s office. A gazebo was added to the property in 2003.

Previously, the building was owned by CNL Retirement Suni LP, which purchased it in 2003 for $5,105,000.
