Potential Development to Host ‘Trivia with a Twist’ Sept. 29
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Potential Development will host its annual Mahoning Valley Trivia with a Twist contest from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 29 at The Lake Club in Poland.
This is the eighth year that Potential Development has sponsored a trivia event. Originally a sports trivia night, the event now offers participants the opportunity to showcase their knowledge on a wide array of topics. All proceeds support the school’s programs for children with autism.
The event is supported by Compco; Melissa Padgett DDS; Panera Bread; The Muransky Companies; Simon Roofing; Tri County Tower; Rudzik Excavating; Brown & Brown; HBK CPAs & Consultants; Cafaro Foundation; 21 WFMJ; Jet Creative; 898 Marketing; Aim Leasing; Daprile Insurance Group; Sherman Creative and York Mechanical Contractors.
Teams of up to eight participants, age 21 and older, are available for a $1,500 table sponsorship, which gives them an open buffet and beverages; opportunities to bid on a silent auction; various games such as cornhole; and the chance to win team prizes during the trivia contest.
“We are so excited for this year’s Trivia with a Twist! It’s one of my favorite nights to celebrate and raise awareness for Potential Development. The fun atmosphere, unique format and meaningful cause make it a favorite event year after year for the sponsors and attendees,” says Deloran Thompson, Potential Development board member.
Amarah Parker, a special guest and Potential Development alumna, will perform the national anthem at 7 p.m.
An iPad Pro 11” 128 GB-3rd Generation will be raffled at the event for those unable to attend as a team. Tickets are $20 each and available via Venmo@PotentialDevelopment, cash or check or by emailing Jodi Harmon at [email protected]. The winner need not be present to win the iPad.
Potential Development is a Pre-K through 12th grade school for children with autism. It provides a structured educational environment with supportive services that give students the necessary skills and independence to lead a productive life.
