Potential Development, Birdfish Brewing Team Up for Fundraiser
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Birdfish Brewing Co. is teaming up with Potential Development for a fundraiser to benefit the school for students with autism.
“Pours for Potential” will take place from noon to 4 p.m. April 30 at the brewery, 140 E. Park Ave., Columbiana. The free family event will include music, raffles, games, food, a dessert truck and craft beer. Raffle prizes will include five field-level box seats for the Cleveland Guardians’ game against the Kansas City Royals on July 8, and a Birdfish Brewing cooler filled with merchandise and a $100 gift card.
Birdfish will donate $1 from every beer poured during the event. Delisha’s Food Truck will donate 100% of its dessert proceeds, and S & T Engraving will donate 20% of its sales from branded merchandise specifically created for the event.
Potential Development students participated in a coloring contest featuring a commemorative Birdfish coloring page. All artwork will be displayed at the event. One winner each from Potential Development’s preschool, elementary/middle school and high school will be announced at the event, and they will receive their artwork in the form of a puzzle in a customized tin.
“We’re excited to be collaborating with Birdfish Brewing in creating a new fun-filled family event to not only raise funds for Potential Development, but to also highlight the artistic talent of our students,” said Sue Stricklin, Potential Development board member. “We are very thankful to our local businesses and community for their ongoing support of our fundraising events, because they are vital in helping us be able to continue to offer our students state-of-the-art educational and therapeutic tools.”
