Potential Development Students Visit Santa’s Workshop
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Students at Potential Development were able to take part in a Santa’s Workshop event at the school, courtesy of retail store Ivory & Birch.
Deloran Muransky Thompson is the owner of Ivory & Birch and also a board member for Potential Development. She says for the past six years they’ve been doing Santa’s Workshop for the high school students, and this year they were able to expand the event to include the elementary/middle school.
“It’s something that empowers them. It gives them independence,” Thompson says. “A lot of the students are so proud of the gifts they pick out and get to give to their families.”
