Potential Development Using Robots for Social & Emotional Learning

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Potential Development unveiled their newest tool in education for students who are on the autism spectrum.

RoboKind provides educational, interactive robots that help students with emotional and social lessons.

“We have research that talks about the engagement rate, so we know that these robot engage students at a rate of 87.5% of the time versus just 2% to 3% with a human therapist alone,” says Marleigh Gilyard, partnership success manager for RoboKind. “When we have students that are excited about working with the robots and they’re zoned in, we are able to better facilitate that learning.”
