Premier Bank Donates $5000 to JA for Financial Literacy

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Premier Bank has donated a $5,000 check to Junior Achievement of the Mahoning Valley to support youth financial literacy programming in the area.

Michele Merkel, president of Junior Achievement of the Mahoning Valley said the money will go towards funding the creation 11 videos and five parent engagement pieces that educators will use within the program.

“We appreciate Premier Bank’s support of our mission to prepare young people to have the skill set and mindset to build thriving communities,” she said.

Foundation giving coordinator at Premier Bank, Trish Gelsomino, said they are proud to be able to support the organization for all they do.

“The group does so much to inspire and prepare young people on a daily basis to succeed in a global economy,” she said. “Together we can spread kindness and make our community stronger.”
