Ballet Western Reserve 60 Years

Premier Bank Helps Ballet Western Reserve Celebrate 60 Years

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Ballet Western Reserve received a check for $10,000, making make Premier Bank the sole “Premier” sponsor of the 60th anniversary season of BWR.

The funds will also help BWR underwrite this year’s performance of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker.

“The Nutcracker production was the only full, local production of this family classic in the Mahoning Valley,” said Katie Merrill, executive director of Ballet Western Reserve.

The performance was held the first week in December and included a full cast of local dancers, BWR alumni and a full orchestra.

“Ballet Western Reserve has grown to become the region’s premier dance academy and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of that,” said Trish Gelsomino, foundation giving coordinator at Premier Bank.
