Premier Bank Promotes Cohen to EVP, Deputy Chief Credit Officer
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Premier Bank has promoted James B. Cohen to executive vice president, deputy chief credit officer.
“James is a talented individual that brings extensive experience and expertise to Premier Bank. He has played a critical role in the credit department helping successfully navigate this past year’s challenging environment,” says Tim Harris, executive vice president, chief credit officer. “We continue to see strong credit performance thus far in 2021, and I am confident James will continue to be an asset to the bank’s credit risk areas in the coming year and beyond.”
Cohen joined Premier Bank in 2013 and has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry.
He earned a B.A. in history and political science at the University of Mount Union and subsequently continued his education by attending the Wisconsin School of Banking and the Oklahoma School of Commercial Banking. Cohen has been involved in many organizations throughout the years, including the East Palestine City Council, Nash Foundation, East Palestine School District Scholarship Foundation and the East Palestine Park and Recreation Board. He resides in East Palestine with his wife, Karen.
