Professional Development Center Hosts Training for TJX Jobs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Professional Development Center will host job training sessions to provide roughly 300 people the skills needed to work at the TJX HomeGoods distribution center in Lordstown.

All candidates will need to attend two sessions of professional forklift and safety training. The first sessions will be held Dec. 7 and 8, with other sessions being held until either the distribution center opens or all positions are filled.

Those attending must pre-register at the Professional Development Center, on the seventh floor of the Chase Bank Building in downtown Youngstown. The office is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.

Candidates must bring a valid ID and Social Security card. A drug screening will be conducted the first day of training; candidates must pay $5 for the test at the time of screening.

The Professional Development Center is a division of Flying High Inc., operated in partnership with Mycap, Home for Good and the Youngstown Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program, in conjunction with the Midwest Regional Joint Board Workers United of the SEIU.
