Queen of Hearts Finally Shows Face for $1.8M Jackpot
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – At long last, the Queen of Hearts has shown her face, making Molly Blair more than $1.8 million richer
A ticket purchased by Blair bore the number 15, which turned out to be the card the elusive Queen was hiding behind. A member of Red Wanting Blue, the Columbus band that performed for about an hour prior to the drawing, drew the ticket shortly after 7:30 p.m. from the 565,395 $1 tickets sold for tonight’s drawing.
Sales this week brought tonight’s jackpot to $1,804,079. The jackpot has grown for nearly a year.
Blair was not present when Barry Dungles general manager Doug Duganne called out her name, and she did not answer her phone when he called. Duganne then cut the number 15 card from the game board to reveal the winning face card.
Thousands of people turned out for tonight’s drawing at the pub or viewed the drawing from news sites that streamed it live.
