Rally’s to Open March 2 in Niles

NILES, Ohio – A new Rally’s restaurant will open in Niles March 2, marking the chain’s return after a 16-year hiatus.

The restaurant, at 310 Robbins Ave. near downtown, will be the first Rally’s in the city since the previous site closed in 2005. There was also a site on Market Street that closed in 2003. Both opened in 1989.

The new Niles location will employ 25 to 30, according to a company news release announcing the opening. The chain’s business model has proved successful during the pandemic, since the restaurants operated primarily via drive-thru prior to COVID-19, the company said.

It will be the chain’s third location in Trumbull County, where it also operates in Warren and Liberty Township. The company announced plans in late 2016 to return to the Mahoning Valley market.

The brand, which reported a year-over-year increase in revenue, opened more than 40 restaurants in 2020.
