Regional Chamber to Host Clambake at Lake Club
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Elvis had it right back in 1967: There’s going to be a clambake.
The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber announced Monday that its first-ever clambake will take place Aug. 13 at The Lake Club in Poland.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour on the Rose Garden lawn followed by dinner in the Veranda Room, and live music from 6:45 until 9 p.m. The music will be provided by the Calypso Gypsies Steel Drum Band, which features a Caribbean-style mix of Jimmy Buffet, Santana, Harry Belafonte, Bob Marley and others.
The menu includes an apple salad, one dozen clams per person, roasted quarter-chickens, mini corn on the cob with melted butter, steamed redskins with herbs, cornbread and strawberry shortcake. Coffee, tea ice tea, soft drinks, beer and wine are included as well.
A $1,000 entertainment sponsorship includes a table of eight, one 8-foot display table with linen, a speaking opportunity and recognition on Chamber website. A $500 hospitality sponsorship includes an 8-foot display table with linen, two clambake dinner tickets and host company recognition on the website.
