Renovations to Wick Park Pavilion Underway
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Work on a $350,000 renovation of the pavilion in Wick Park is underway as contractors began installation of a new roof, gutters and HVAC system.
Rotary Club of Youngstown organized the project as part of its Centennial Campaign and Youngstown CityScape is serving as project manager.
Further work on the pavilion, built in 1957, will include a new electrical system, windows, bathrooms and improving handicap access.
Wick Park was created in 1890 when the Wick family donated the land to the city and is today the city’s most-visited park.
Rotary Club is accepting donations to fund the renovations. Checks can be mailed to the Youngstown Rotary Club Foundation, P.O. Box 1287, Youngstown, 44503.
