Foreclosures, Delinquencies Down in Valley
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The rate of foreclosures in the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman metropolitan area in April was 1.75%, down from 1.88% in April 2015, CoreLogic reports.
Despite the decrease, the April foreclosure rate locally was higher locally than both the U.S. average of 1.03%, down from 1.35% in April 2015, and the Ohio rate of 1.23%, down from 1.47% a year earlier.
The rate of delinquencies also decreased locally, statewide and nationally in April, the California-based data and analytics company reported.
The rate of mortgages 90 days or more delinquent in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman during April was 4.64%, down from 5.50% a year earlier. In Ohio, the April delinquency rate was 3.50%, compared with 4.23% a year earlier. The U.S. delinquency rate for April was 2.94%, down from 3.68% a year ago.
