River Rock Series Includes 11 Tribute Concerts, Boxing Night

WARREN, Ohio – This summer’s River Rock at The Amp series will feature 11 tribute band concerts and – for the first time – a night of live boxing.

All shows take place on Saturday evenings at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, downtown, except for Fight Night at The Amp, which will be Friday, Aug. 2.

Fight Night is being produced by former world champ and Youngstown native Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik and will feature a card of regional boxers.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now at riverrockattheamp.com and at the Sunrise Inn Restaurant, 510 E. Market St. Tickets will be on sale soon at the Eastwood Mall customer service desk and will also be sold at the gate.

Gates open at 5 p.m. for each show, with opening acts going on at approximately 5:30 p.m.

In addition to the general admission seating in the amphitheater, there is room for lawn chairs and blankets on the grass.

A variety of vendors will be on site, selling beer, wine, mixed drinks and food. No outside food is permitted to be brought into the amphitheater.

Here is the schedule:

  • June 1: Dirty Deeds (AC/DC tribute), with Against the Wind (Bob Seger) and Fine Young Men; $10.
  • June 15: ESC4P3 (Journey tribute) and co-headliner Best of Times (Styx); $13.
  • June 22: 7 Bridges (Eagles), with Evil Ways (Santana), $10.
  • June 29: Fleetwood Gold (Fleetwood Mac), with My Drunk’n Uncle (high-energy rock), $10.
  • July 13: Fins to the Left (Jimmy Buffett tribute, featuring members of the late artist’s Coral Reefer Band). No opening act, $15.
  • July 20: That Arena Rock Show (classic rock tribute), with Huckin’ Fillbillies (regional rock band), $10.
  • July 27: Queen Nation (Queen), with No Funk No Justice (regional funk cover band), $13.
  • Aug. 2: Fight Night at The Amp, featuring Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik; $25.
  • Aug. 3: Zoso (Led Zeppelin tribute), with AC & The Heat (pop and rock band), $10.
  • Aug. 17: Disco Inferno (’70s disco tribute), with 1988 (hard rock tribute), $10.
  • Aug. 24: Forever Seger (tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band), with Harvest (Neil Young), $10.
  • Aug. 31: Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), with Invincible (Pat Benatar), $15.
