Rotary Club of Youngstown Installs Prest as President

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Josh Prest was installed July 7 as the incoming president of the Rotary Club of Youngstown. He is likely the youngest president in the history of the club.

“I am excited to start my year as the president of the Rotary Club of Youngstown and lead this historic club into its 2021-2022 year,” Prest said. “Not only will we continue our work throughout the community as we have in years past through projects like Operation Warm and our annual Groundhog Craft Beerfest, but we also will be taking on new roles in the community and exemplifying this year’s Rotary International theme, “Serve to Change Lives.”

Prest is a native of Youngstown and graduated from Boardman High School. He earned a B.A. in political science at Youngstown State University. As a student, he was appointed by the Ohio governor to serve a two-year term on the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. He was an active student leader, and today he remains engaged with alumni programs.

Prest joined the Rotary Club of Youngstown in September 2014. He is the Northeast Ohio district representative for Ohio U.S. Senator Rob Portman, a position he has held since January 2015.
