Rust Belt Theater Revisits ‘Forbidden Youngstown’

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Rust Belt Theater Company will present its 11th annual production of “Forbidden Youngstown” at 8 p.m. July 21, 22 and 28 at Club Switch, 221 Belmont Ave., downtown.

The bawdy musical revue is a hilarious spoof of theater culture, “off off off off off Broadway,” said Robert Dennick Joki, who wrote and directs the production.

“This year’s production will feature several new songs, as well as some old favorites that have not been performed in a couple of years,” he said.

The shows will take place in the outdoor performance space, weather permitting.
