Ryan, Vance to Appear in Fox News Town Hall

NEW YORK – U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan and author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance, who are running for U.S. Senate in Ohio, will meet for a third time Nov. 1, a week before the general election in a televised town hall hosted by Fox News Channel.

Bret Baier, Fox News chief political anchor and anchor of Special Report with Bret Baier, and Martha MacCallum, anchor of The Story, will co-moderate the hour-long event, which will be held at 6 p.m. in Columbus, according to a Fox news release.

“The event will feature a live audience of bipartisan Ohio voters and focus on key issues facing the swing state ahead of the midterm election,” Fox said in the release.

Ryan, D-13 Ohio, the Democratic nominee for the seat now held by Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, and Vance, a former critic of former President Donald Trump who secured the Republican nomination with Trump’s support, met for to debates in October, including one held Oct. 17 at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.

With control of the evenly divided Senate on the line, recent polling in the highly watched race shows it too close to call. Polls by Marist and Spectrum news/Siena show the two candidates tied while a USA Today/Suffolk poll put Vance up by two percentage points.
