Safety and Wages Top Concerns for UAW 1112

LORDSTOWN, Ohio – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, met with members of United Autoworkers Local 1112 from Ultium Cells to listen to their labor concerns.

In addition to wages, workers expressed their concerns about safety in the workplace.

“These employees are handling chemicals that they’ve never handled before,” Brown says. “Some of these chemicals, the science is so new, I’m not sure the company knows enough.”
