Salem Alumni Group Awards Scholarships

SALEM — The Salem High School Alumni Association awarded $393,625 in 111 scholarships to 94 students in 2023. It will award 2024 scholarships in April.

The SHSAA started its scholarship fund in 1903 with an endowment of $1,000. Today, that endowment is worth nearly $12 million, says Audrey Cleveland Null, executive director

One of the oldest alumni associations in the country, the SHSAA has given $9,263,322 in 3,335 scholarships since its inception.

The association’s primary mission is to award scholarships to Salem High School graduates and postsecondary students.  SHSAA also manages memorabilia in its expansive archival displays.
