Sampson Joins Akron Children’s Showers Family Center
Megan Sampson, M.D. has joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist in the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Sampson received her doctorate in medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. She is also a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Most recently she completed a pediatric bone marrow transplant fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, which followed her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship and pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. The Showers Family Center cares for children, teens and young adults with cancer and bleeding or clotting disorders. The center also participates in national clinical trials for childhood cancer and blood disorders and explores the causes and treatment of these diseases through its basic science research program.
