Sam’s Southern Eatery Opens 1st Site in Ohio

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Sam’s Southern Eatery celebrated the opening of its first site in Ohio Monday, bringing a taste of Louisiana to the area, owner Khaled Samara said.
Specializing in a variety of seafood, Sam’s also serves Mediterranean, burgers, buffalo wings, jumbo, liver and gizzards. “Nobody really sells food like ours around here,” he said.
With locations all around the country, the restaurant at 4827 Mahoning Avenue, is the chain’s 51st since starting in 2012.
Since opening the first week of December, business has been slow, says employee Brittney Wieder, “but since Lent has started, we’ve gotten a lot more calls and orders for our Seafood. Business is looking better and better everyday”.
With only a half dozen employees, Samara is looking to hire more for the Austintown restaurant. He also plans to open another Sam’s Southern Eatery location in Warren later this year.
Sam’s Southern Eatery is open for indoor dining and delivery can be made through Seamless, Doordash, Grubhub and Uber Eats.
