SBA Honors Small Business Development Center at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Northern Ohio District Office has recognized the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University with its Ohio Service Excellence and Innovation Award.
The award honors an SBDC for its excellence in providing value to small businesses and advancing program delivery and management through innovation.
Gil Goldberg, district director of SBA’s Northern Ohio District office, presented Patricia Veisz, the center’s director, with the award Thursday as part of the annual observance of National Small Business Week. The ceremony took place at YSU, which serves as the center’s local host organization.
“The SBA is proud to honor Patricia Veisz and the staff of the SBDC at Youngstown State University,” Goldberg said. “The results of their counseling, advice and support to those working to pursue or grow small businesses has strengthened the state’s economy. Under Ms. Veisz’s leadership, her team’s outstanding work is greatly deserving of this recognition.”
