SBA to Tell How to Win Government Contracts
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The U.S. Small Business Administration and Department of Housing and Urban Development will host a free seminar from 9 a.m. to noon May 5 at the Covelli Centre on how to win government contracts.
The seminar will provide small-business owners information and advice on securing contracts to perform work or supply services to federal agencies, the Ohio Turnpike Commission, Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority and city of Youngstown.
Representatives from the Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp., and city of Youngstown will be present.
An SBA spokesman says those who attend will “learn about opportunities, special requirements and certifications available to help grow your business. You will learn about Section 3 employment, training and contracting requirements for YMHA; federal certifications for your business [might need if it’s female-owned or veteran-owned.
