Scholarships Available for Students with Juvenile Diabetes
STRUTHERS, Ohio – The Thomas J. Seefred Trust is offering scholarships of up to $3,000 for eligible students who are facing the challenges of juvenile diabetes.
The Thomas J. Seefred Trust aims to provide financial support to students who demonstrate academic promise. Personal statements, recommendations and financial need are also taken into consideration.
The scholarship is open exclusively to college students age 18 to 25 who are actively engaged in completing a standard curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree at an accredited junior college, college or university.
Ohio residents are encouraged to apply, with a special emphasis on students from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
To apply, visit the trust’s website to download the application form. The submission deadline is June 1, and scholarship recipients will be notified after July 1.
Administration of the trust, which was established by Thomas J. Seefred of Struthers in 2005, is overseen by Mahoning County Probate Judge Robert N. Rusu.
