Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic Promotes 3 Team Members
CANFIELD, Ohio — Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic CPAs this week announced the promotions of three of its team members: Samuel D. Fries, Kayla A. Emanuelson and Elaine E. Remick.
Fries, a certified public accountant and certified financial planner, has been promoted to senior manager. He is a member of SSB’s tax team and heads the firm’s investment advisory service, SSB Managed Wealth LLC. In addition to assisting SSB clients with financial planning, Fries’ concentration is in the manufacturing, real estate and farming industries.
Fries is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Mahoning-Shenango Valley Estate Planning Council. He also serves on the board of The Piggyback Foundation of Youngstown. Fries is a graduate of John Carroll University and earned a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Denver.
Emanuelson, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to the position of manager. She, too, is a member of SSB’s tax team, and provides tax compliance, planning and research services for businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. Emanuelson’s concentration is in the manufacturing, construction and mining industries, and she is one of SSB’s consultants to the brewery industry.
Emanuelson is a member of the OSCPA and the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. She is an active member of the Polka Dot Powerhouse and a committee member of the Mahoning County Pop Shop. she is a graduate of Thiel College in Greenville, Pa.
Remick has been promoted to the position of senior team accountant. She provides accounting and tax compliance services to SSB clients. She has a master of accountancy degree from Youngstown State University and is pursuing her CPA credentials.
