Score Opens Lawrence County Branch

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Chapter of Score will host a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. April 18 to open its new branch at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Building in New Castle, Pa., Score chairwoman Janet Moy announced Thursday.

Dale Perlman, secretary for New Castle’s Partners for Progress was instrumental in establishing the New Castle branch and will oversee the program at the new location, she said.

Score is the volunteer resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration and provides free and confidential mentoring to startup and established small businesses, and also hosts workshops that are free to the public.

The Youngstown chapter of Score was established more than 50 years ago on the campus of Youngstown State University and oversees five counties: Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana in Ohio, and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania.
