Self-Pay Convenience Store Opens in Southern Park Mall

BOARDMAN, Ohio – A 32GO self-pay convenience store has opened in Southern Park Mall. It’s located in the Buffalo Wild Wings concourse, next to American Eagle.

The store is digitally managed and does not have an employee in it at all times. It offers a variety of beverages, snacks, candy, sandwiches and more.

The new store is open 24 hours a day and is available to after-hour employees and early-hour mall walkers, according to a press release from the mall.

The 32Go Self-Pay Market chain started five years ago and now has 17 locations in the northeastern Ohio-western Pennsylvania region.

Justin Packrone, director of operations for 32GO, said the company plans to open several more locations.

“I can assure you that self-pay is not taking jobs away; in reality, it is creating them, maintaining them, and helping team members focus on other aspects of retail to enhance the overall customer experience,” he said in the press release.

While there will not be associates working at the store at all times, each store’s self-pay kiosk is monitored through security cameras.

The new store is part of Southern Park Mall’s effort to provide unique consumer experiences, said mall manager Brian Gabbert.
